I am Dr Charlotte Birney practicing under the name of ‘Barley’ Birney, Director of Birney Consulting Ltd, providing coaching and psychological services to individuals and organisations. Birney Consulting is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller and follow the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Birney Consulting Ltd has a legal and ethical duty to safeguard children and young people under the Children Act (1989). If I believe that a child or young person is at risk of significant harm, I will take appropriate action. This may involve sharing relevant information with safeguarding teams, social care, or other authorities—even without consent—where necessary to protect a child.

I retain records for up to 7 years after our final session, after which they are securely deleted or destroyed.
